Ever since Taylor Swift joined TikTok last week, fans have been clamoring to know when they can expect new music from the “folklore” singer.

Although “Red (Taylor’s Version)” isn’t set to drop until later this year, Swift, 31, has been teasing her fans with Easter eggs and tracklists to pass the time. Here is everything we can expect from the album so far.

What Is ‘Red’ About?

Many fans know that the “Bad Blood” singer does not shy away from discussing heartbreak in her songs, and “Red” is no exception.

“Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person,” Swift shared. “It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators.”

She continued, “I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way.”

How Many Songs Will There Be?

Although the standard edition of “Red” has 16 tracks and the deluxe edition had 22 tracks, “Red (Taylor’s Version)” will have a whopping 30 songs, including two versions of one of her most famous heartbreak anthems, “All Too Well,” with one dubbed the “10 Minute Version.”

The original demo recordings of “Treacherous” and “Red” that appeared on the deluxe edition will be absent from this new album. Instead, Swift has added nine “from the Vault” tracks, including Swift’s single “Ronan.”

Ronan,” which was first performed by Swift at the “Stand Up to Cancer” event in September 2012, is dedicated to Ronan, a four-year-old boy who passed away to cancer. Swift reached out to his mother, Maya Thompson, to gain her approval to add the track to her latest album. Thompson agreed, thanking the singer for “once again giving a voice to the often voiceless.”

Are There Any New Collaborations?

The original “Red” album featured two collaborations: “The Last Time” featuring Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody and “Everything Has Changed" featuring “Bad Habits” singer Ed Sheeran.

Sheeran recently shared that fans will be treated to a never-before-heard song collaboration between the pair, entitled “Run,” which was the first song they “ever wrote together” in 2012.

Two new collaborations will also appear on this album. The first song is titled “Nothing New” and features indie-folk singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridges. The second song, “I Bet You Think About Me” includes singer and guitarist Chris Stapleton.

When Will The Album Be Released?

The first “Red” album, Swift’s first foray into the pop genre, was released approximately nine years ago on October 22, 2012.

This next album is set to drop on November 19, 2021, although the album is already available for preorder. Fans have two options for their CD or digital album: an explicit version and a clean version.

Swift has also been teasing four vinyl discs, which include “nine songs from the vault with lyrics for all 30 songs, never before seen photos, artwork, and handwritten lyrics for the 10 minute version of ‘All Too Well.’”

As Swift wrote, “Til then, I’ll be counting down and picturing it all in my head. In burning red.”
